With too many cliches to choose from to describe the past year, the challenges, and the drive to find the silver lining, I will choose this, one of my 7-year-old daughters’ favorite, “Every challenge leads to a new opportunity.” It’s a good one, and one I have taught her, only to find the words bounced back to me. This year has been a battle, but first and foremost to put it into perspective, my family near and far, has remained mostly healthy and able to work and manage during the pandemic. So for that, I am incredibly grateful. Obviously, my job, my passion, and the projects I have been knowingly and unknowingly working towards for over 20 years all crumbled, like the entire music industry, but through those fractures, new ideas have taken root.
Now that all the WinterWonderGrass Festivals have moved to 2022, with Colorado taking place February 25-27, 2022 and California April 1-3, 2022, the path is clear. While we are planning the multi-day RiverWonderGrass Expeditions in Dinosaur National Monument, we are also brewing some nice river events at Rancho Del Rio, back to the roots.
